Testimony of pro-Israel students from groups such as Hillel and top Israeli diplomat Akiva Tor is counterpointed by Palestinian students, a Holocaust survivor, representatives from Jewish Voice for Peace, student activists, and noted academics. The debates marked a watershed in views on the justice of Israel's policies in Palestine, and the role of boycott, divestment and sanctions in ending the occupation and blockade, as the world sees a re-enactment of the international anti-apartheid movement that transformed South Africa.
